Chocolate Chunk Cookies
the PERFECT chocolate chunk cookie! I made these last week but they didn’t have the flavor I wanted and were too puffy. I took out the baking powder and used baking soda only! I also adjusted the amount of vanilla and changed a few other things. I apologize for the grams only measurements but I’ve learned using cups for baking has inconsistencies. 🤍🤍
Recipe + Measurements (this recipe makes 24 cookies)
medium sized bowl
410g all purpose flour
8g baking soda
Mix dry ingredients and set aside
large bowl for wet ingredients
2 sticks extremely soft salted butter
210 grams light brown sugar
220 grams white sugar
mix the butter and sugar together until combined
same bowl
2 eggs, room temp
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
mix again until smooth
add flour + baking soda to smooth mixture
once it’s mixed well, set aside and chop your chocolate (10-12oz semisweet chocolate bars 64% cacao)
fold chocolate into cookie dough
line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
roll cookie dough balls and chill for however long you want⏰
(refrigerate for at least an hour)
bake 4-6 cookies at a time straight from fridge or freezer.
375°F for 14 minutes
once you remove from oven, slam/drop cookie sheet onto counter and shape with cup or bowl into perfect circles.
keep cookie dough you don’t bake wrapped up in freezer or fridge until ready to bake🤗🤗
